About My Campaign
Ask Kim Glassman, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAOLN, FAAN, why she chose to stay at NYU Langone for nearly 42 years, and she’ll tell you it’s because of the people.
In her four-plus decades here, she has accomplished the extraordinary: helping lead us through the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, including the transition from paper and pencil to our first generation electronic medical record, and later to Epic; seeing us through evacuations, fires, innumerable blizzards, and Superstorm Sandy; ensuring that we maintain the highest quality and consistency of patient care in a period of unprecedented expansion, which saw us grow from a handful of locations to over 330; and as the Lerner Director of Health Promotion, overseeing innovative integrative health programming.
Now after setting a new high-water mark in nursing and leadership excellence, we wish Kim farewell as she retires as senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer. We are celebrating her passion for leadership education for nurses by establishing the Kimberly S. Glassman Nursing Leadership Fund, an annual award that connects NYU Langone clinical nurses with leadership training opportunities.
Just as the people of NYU Langone inspired her 42 years of dedicated service and success, Kim has inspired many of us to be the best for patients, families, and our peers. Support the Glassman Nursing Leadership Fund today to show the impact she has made on you. We will notify Kim of all gifts.
Kim’s last day is December 31, 2019. Farewell receptions will take place on the week of December 16. Make your contribution in time for the celebrations!
