About My Campaign
Donations made in loving memory of Frank J. Balcer, Jr. will support the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital.
At 91 years of age, our dad was a tremendous fan of rehabilitation and was a grateful recipient of mobility-saving care and procedures at NYULOH and throughout NYU Langone Health. The kindness and expertise with which our physicians and surgeons, nursing staff, physical and occupational therapists, and all team members have treated our father and all patients is extraordinary. A civil engineer who loved to solve problems both big and small, our father particularly enjoyed working with our medical and research teams in the course of his clinical care. In his final days following a fall in the setting of COVID-19 infection, our dad was determined to live to see his 91st birthday. That he did, and more. To our dad’s many providers, we are truly grateful.
About NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital
Our doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals provide the highest-quality medical and surgical care for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of orthopedic, musculoskeletal, rheumatic, and neurological conditions, as well as other related diseases and injuries. NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient surgical care for adults, as well as specialized care for conditions such as brain injury, joint pain, osteoporosis, and overuse injuries. Rusk Rehabilitation physiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation nurses, and speech–language pathologists provide care for adults and children.
Our tradition of research to improve treatments has led to innovative programs that address pain and workplace injuries. We also help people with injuries and disabilities resume as many of their daily activities as soon as possible. In addition, we lead programs to train future medical experts to deliver the same high-quality care we have been known for over the past century.
