In Loving Memory of Frances Schnabel
About My Campaign
In 2015, our beautiful mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. It was a difficult and bleak time, but she was always an optimistic and formidable woman. With the help of Dr Jeffrey Schneider and experimental treatments he was able to get her involved with, she was in remission by 2018. During that time her bright spirit and love of a full life, shared with friends and family, never dimmed. She lived each day on her terms and never bent to fear.
Sadly, in January she was diagnosed with a new cancer and due to complications with the treatments, our mother spent most of the last three months in the hospital. On Sunday, her body couldn’t sustain her anymore and she passed peacefully.
In memory of her indomitable spirit and in gratitude to the doctors who worked hard to keep her alive and the cancer at bay, we ask that anyone who wishes to honor her memory contribute whatever they can – big or small – to the Perlmutter Cancer Center. We are all in this together.
