To support SUDEP research in memory of Zach Ellison

About My Campaign

Please consider donating in memory of Zach Ellison, who passed away on May 1, 2021 from SUDEP at the age of 26. SUDEP is sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. Not much is currently known about SUDEP. It is under-researched and likely under-reported. Many families, including our own, did not know about SUDEP before we were impacted.

All donations will go to NASR (the North American SUDEP Registry, funded by FACES), a group of researchers dedicated to uncovering the risk factors, causes, and mechanisms of SUDEP with the goal of improving future epilepsy treatment and SUDEP prevention. We hope that this research will eventually prevent other families from losing a loved one to SUDEP.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

This campaign supports: FACES (Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures)

Your gift to FACES helps our specialists make major strides toward a cure for epilepsy, while providing exceptional clinical care, education, awareness, and support to all who come to us for care.

Zach made me laugh more than anyone else in high school. He was so creative especially when it came to music. He added so much to the world in his short time here. I'm thankful that his passing will help others. Sending positive thoughts to his family.
Love you Zach, you will be missed.
Rest In Peace to an old friend and teammate on the Mt. Abe soccer team. You will be deeply missed, Zach. Hopefully donations, like these, can make an impact on clinical research, treatment, and awareness about epilepsy-related conditions.
Love you forever, brother.
I always loved having Zach in my class and was so sorry to learn of his early death. His obituary is a loving tribute to his life. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Jan Davis
