ANDREW DAY NEW YORK CITY PRINTS FOR COVID-19 RELIEF
About My Campaign
Going through my archive to find images of New York to contribute towards COVID-19 relief efforts, I found am image of me on my first “bed” in New York. I was sleeping on a rubber mattress in Queens. I had no beed sheets, I used the towel I showered with as a blanket while sleeping in a jacket to stay warm at night during the winter.
What’s most difficult to share about this, is I know it pains my family to learn about these moments and hardships I have kept from them along the way… but I wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything. Anyone that has moved to New York with a dream, unknowingly bonds in contract with this city, that you will do whatever it takes to pursue what you love. It’s this all or nothing relationship, that will create who you are… that will develop your dreams into a passion, or spiral into a disaster. I do not believe there is any such thing as in-between towards pursuit of something (or someone) you truly love.
