About My Campaign

Updated May 4, 2017: Click here to view pictures from reunion weekend!

It is hard to believe that 25 years have passed since our graduation from NYU School of Medicine. Reflecting on the decades since graduation, it is clear that NYU provided a crucial foundation for much of our success. We imagine you feel the same way and believe there is no better demonstration of gratitude for the world-class education we each received than to make a gift to support the next generation of NYU graduates.

As you know, since 1992, the cost of medical education has risen enormously. Most of today’s students graduate with excessive debt that averages six figures. Scholarship support is critical to ensuring that NYU can attract and retain the very best candidates based on their talent, shared values, and goals, rather than their ability to manage mounting tuition costs.

To ensure that deserving students will always have the opportunity to attend NYU for generations to come, we have each made a leadership gift to help establish the Class of 1992 Scholarship Fund. Additionally, thanks to the support of our classmate Dr. Paul Kedeshian, we have already raised $36,000 of our worthy goal. In order to permanently endow the Class of 1992 Scholarship Fund, we must raise at least $64,000 more within five years.

We invite you to join us in making an outright gift of any amount or a leadership commitment of a gift $1,000 per year for the next five years. If we raise at least $60,000 towards the fund within one year, we will be honored with a Class of 1992 room naming in Vilcek Hall. Together we can create a substantial scholarship fund which will support students and honor our class in perpetuity.

If you have any questions about our fund or about making a gift, please contact William Gehling in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs at William.Gehling@nyumc.org or 212.404.3716.

We are deeply grateful for your consideration and thank you for your continued, generous support of the School of Medicine. We look forward to celebrating our class’ gift – and our personal milestones – at this year’s reunion festivities on April 28 and 29 with you!

Best wishes,

Andrew Dunn, MD                  Michael Schwartz, MD
