Help Find A Cure for Epilepsy in honor of my sister Jessica

About My Campaign
I’d like to invite you to contribute to my fundraising campaign for NYU Langone Medical Center. The money donated to this campaign will go to FACES (Find A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures.) This cause in particular is special to me because my sister, Jessica, has been diagnosed with Epilepsy since July of 2008. When my older sister was diagnosed it took a toll on my family. It was difficult to watch her struggle through seizures, medications, doctor visits and hospital stays. However, throughout the entire process I realized that her condition had given both my family and I the incentive to stick together and overcome obstacles as a family.
I wear purple for my sister because I admire her strength and her courage. I wear purple for me because through my sister I have learned what it takes to be strong in situations when it is easy to become weak, I have learned to be brave in situations when it is easy to be afraid but most of all I have learned to always be optimistic and turn every negative into a positive. I plan to take the things that I have learned with me throughout my college years. I know that no matter what obstacles I may face I will always overcome them and succeed in accomplishing my goals.
SURPRISE! This is a surprise Christmas gift for my sister. Her and my family will not know about this campaign until Christmas. If you feel motivated to donate ANY amount, no matter the size, please do. Your gift would mean so much to me, and even more to so many others who depend on the work of NYU Langone's faculty and staff.
Thank you for your support! :)
