Back to School Supplies for Brooklyn Kids
Family Health Centers at NYU Langone
100% Raised of $50,000 Goal
About My Campaign
For 16 years, NYU Langone Health’s employees have supported thousands of children through our annual Back-to-School Drive. Through this campaign, we provide a kit of new school supplies to kids in need.
This year is very different.
2020 has seen a dramatic increase in the number of families experiencing severe financial strain because of the pandemic. For this reason, NYU Langone invites all New Yorkers to join forces with us in getting school supplies to 2,500 kids from underserved communities in Brooklyn—no matter what their school experience will be this fall.
Every $25 gift covers the cost of one kit that contains pencils, pens, notebooks, crayons, a ruler, scissors, and other essential supplies for a child in need.
You can Make a Difference
From now until August 31, you can make a gift to fund as school supplies for kids in need. Donations are fully tax deductible and will make a tangible difference in each child’s education.
The stocked kits will be distributed to families at The Table, a food pantry in Sunset Park that’s experienced a spike in families’ food insecurity since COVID-19 hit NYC. Sponsored by Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, The Table will give out school supplies in late August and early September.
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of Brooklyn’s children!
Any funds raised beyond the Back to School Drive’s stated fundraising goal will be used to purchase similar items for the Family Health Center client population.
Sunset Park Health Council, Inc., is a New York 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that does business as Family Health Centers at NYU Langone. Sunset Park Health Council's EIN is 20-2508411.
