About My Campaign
A Program for Peace and Hope
The Spiritual Care Program at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island was founded in 1996 to provide spiritual and emotional support to our patients, their families and Hospital staff. This inspired the dedication of a non-sectarian space, our Serenity Chapel, for reflection, counseling and spiritual services. The Program then expanded services and education to the community, and further, to provide enduring support, it formed an endowment.
A Journey of Healing
At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, we know that a sense of spiritual and emotional well-being can aid the healing process. The Spiritual Care Program serves the spiritual needs of patients, their families and Hospital staff by offering healing ministry, spiritual support and pastoral care. Chaplains assist patients and their loved ones as they cope with illness, and provide support during times of sadness and bereavement, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
