Purple Unites to Open Early Detection Center for Pancreatic Cancer

Project Purple and NYU Langone Health team up to diagnose pancreatic cancer earlier and improve chance for successful recovery.

On November 15th, World Pancreatic Cancer Day, Project Purple and NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center (PCC) announced a new partnership to combat pancreatic cancer.

Their gift to Dr. Diane Simeone, director of the PCC’s Pancreatic Cancer Center, supports NYU Langone’s pioneering efforts in early detection and prevention. When doctors can diagnose pancreatic cancer at earlier stages, patients have more options for treatment, as well as a greater chance for successful recovery.
