Research Summary

Dr. Pusic obtained his Medical Degree from the University of British Columbia, a Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at McGill and his PhD Degree in Cognitive Studies from Teachers College. He has held academic appointments at McGill, Dalhousie, University of B.C. and Johns Hopkins Universities. Despite this varied geographical background, he has maintained an unwavering interest in the use of educational technology in clinical settings. He is particularly interested in the interface between education and clinical decision support. He has developed focused computer tutorials that can be delivered immediately after a traineea??s interaction with a patient in an Emergency Department. He is also interested in the development of online learning tools for clinical decision-making to be used by trainees across clinical programs. Examples include an online database for learning x-ray or ECG interpretation and a national research methods course for Pediatric Emergency Fellows.
