Cancer Education Series
Our cancer education series offers informative lectures, panel discussions, and presentations. These events are open to the public. Speakers include cancer specialists, survivors, and healthcare professionals who share the newest information on diagnosis, treatment options, research, and resources.
Cancer Survivorship Learning Series
Perlmutter Cancer Center hosts monthly educational programs that focus on the unique issues of people living with cancer. These educational, interactive events take place on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:00PM to 7:00PM. The lectures are free, but RSVP is required. As part of our commitment to educating the public about cancer, Perlmutter Cancer Center experts deliver engaging, informative, and educational programs to community groups, organizations, and businesses. Topics are tailored to each audience and may include:
- reducing cancer risk
- cancer screening tests
- coping with a loved one’s diagnosis
- the newest cancer treatment methods
- risk reduction and early detection of breast and gynecologic cancer, as well as colorectal, prostate, and skin cancers
- advances in lung cancer treatment
- cancer survivorship issues
