Hospital for Joint Diseases Services
At NYU Langone’s Hospital for Joint Diseases, we have programs devoted to treating specific conditions. Physical medicine and rehabilitation is provided by Rusk Rehabilitation, which was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the best rehabilitation program in New York City and one of the 10 best in the country.
Orthopaedic surgery at NYU Langone is one of the largest orthopaedic programs in the country, recognized nationally and internationally as a leader in patient care, education, and research.
Our orthopaedic surgery experts care for tens of thousands of people each year, from infants to older adults, with the simplest of orthopaedic conditions to the most complex.
We perform adult reconstructive surgery that brings an end to hip and knee pain. Our surgeons also specialize in spine care and hand surgery, and our sports medicine team treats overuse injuries. In addition, we treat trauma and fractures, and provide surgical care for orthopaedic-related cancers.
We are committed to caring for people who have rheumatologic conditions that affect the joints, soft tissues, and connective tissues. Conditions we treat include rheumatoid arthritis; osteoarthritis of the hip, knee, and shoulder; lupus; pediatric rheumatologic conditions; and Lyme disease.
Experts at the Osteoporosis Center evaluate and treat osteoporosis using a range of advanced drug therapies. Our physical therapists, psychologists, exercise physiologists, and social workers can help you through diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
