Carla Solomon and her husband Antonio Magliocco Jr. ("Nino") are longtime champions of NYU Langone Medical Center. They share in this deep commitment to NYU Langone with Nino’s brothers John and Joe and their wives Pat and Allison. Nino and Carla serve together on the Child Study Center Advisory Board. Carla sits on the boards of both NYU Langone Health System and NYU Lutheran. She is also a founder and current board member of the KiDS of NYU Langone Foundation. In addition to her commitments at NYU Langone Medical Center, Carla is on the board of trustees of the School for Strings, member of the Beacon Group, and serves on the executive committee of the Helix Center and Yale University's Development Council. Carla received her BA From Yale University, PhD from Boston University, and certificate in psychoanalysis from New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute.
Nino is president of Bulldog Ventures Ltd. and vice chairman of Quaker Equities Ltd. He serves on the board of trustees of the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Central Synagogue, Citizens Union, the Helix Center, and the Center for WorkLife Law at UC Hastings College of the Law. He serves along with Carla on Yale University's Development Council. Nino received his BA From Yale University and his JD from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Carla, a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst by training, is co-founder and co-principal of Anthos Media, a production company that makes documentaries for broad family audiences. Their projects include Particle Fever, the inside story of physicists' search for the Higgs boson or 'God Particle' (2014 PGA Award nominee); Colliding Dreams, about the history and impact of Zionism; Thank You For Your Service, about the mental health crisis in our military; and currently in production--Joseph Pulitzer: Voice of The People and Art Stars & The Mall King, about the relationship between art and commerce in the 21st century.
Carla and Nino have three children and a daughter-in-law: Daniel and Anna, Katharine, and Will. Daniel and Anna are also proud residents of Brooklyn.
