About Me

The ease with which we take our voices for granted becomes apparent when a person develops vocal cord problems. That’s why I specialize in treating such problems as the director of NYU Langone’s Voice Center, which brings together physicians, speech pathologists, and others to improve the lives of people with voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders.

To prevent people from having to give up the activities and jobs they love, we offer compassionate care and rehabilitation with world-class treatments. Our Voice Center has given hope to those with vocal cord problems.

I have been honored as one of the top physicians in voice disorders and laryngology in the United States. I have been named in Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors” series for the New York Metro Area and in New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors in New York” issue. I am proudly dedicated to helping singers, performers, and teachers return to their microphones, stages, and classrooms.

In addition to caring for patients, I actively participate in research to improve lives and treatment outcomes. I have published more than 70 articles on voice disorders and laryngology.
